Asztalos Krisztina: Krisztina Asztalos has been painting since 1989. She worked as a model in Paris for Ford Models Europe in 1996- 1997, but decided to be a fine artist and teacher of graphic art and visual communication in Hungary. In 2001 she graduated with honour as an art teacher(graphic art and visual communication) specialized on paintings, she holds a BA degree.Her paintings have been exhibited in solo and international group shows in Europe, Asia, Africa, USA. 5 elements - Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space - most depicted elements of her artworks, inspired by eastern calligraphy, nature and human nature and urban life. Used techniques: paper and ink, gauche, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media on canvas, on wood. Her macro sized 2- 3 m long ink paintings ”Aqua” series are bringing the certain feeling of special and great dimensions. Urban series are depicting the multicolor vibration of metropolises with humour and a bit of sarcasm, personal responds for happenings of urban society.Inspirations of creating urban paintings are her travels to Africa, Europe and USA.She also works as graphic designer at www.xtdesign.hu in Budapest.
