"The Berggruen collection in Berlin-Charlottenburg is one of the most important art collections of classical modernism. Discover almost 200 impressive works by Pablo Picasso and Paul Klee. The Museum also presents paintings by Georges Braque and Paul Cézanne, as well as surrealist sculptures by the Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti. Serving as the backdrop is one of two classical guard barracks, designed by the architect Friedrich August Stüler in the 19th-century."

Bettina Moissi (born 15 October 1923) is a German stage and film actress. She played the female lead in the 1948 film Long Is the Road, the first German film to portray the Holocaust.

Bettina Moissi was born in Berlin in October 1923, the second child of leading stage actor Alexander Moissi of Albanian descent and Herta Hambach. Her father was often branded as Jewish due to his name (which translates as "Moses") and his outspoken defense of his fellow Jewish actors and people during a period of growing anti-semitism. She is Catholic but was married to Heinz Berggruen who was Jewish.

Thomas Schütte (born 16 November 1954) is a German contemporary artist. He sculpts, creates architectural designs, and draws. He lives and works in Düsseldorf.

Schütte's work is held in the collections of the Tate, the Clark Art Institute, MoMA, the Berggruen Museum, and the Art Institute of Chicago

Schütte has received numerous awards, including the Kurt Schwitters Preis für Bildende Kunst der Niedersächsischen Sparkassenstiftung, 1998, and the Kunstpreis der Stadt Wolfsburg, Germany, 1996. In 2005, he was awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale for his work in María de Corral's exhibition "The Experience of Art". He was awarded the Düsseldorf Prize in 2010, previously given to Bruce Nauman, Marlene Dumas, and Rosemarie Trockel.
