"The Exhibit & Party with Music in Every Room!
Somewhere Over the Interconnected Rainbow & Prospero’s Grand St Masque, 6/8/18 - 6/10/18
The theme for our closing party is taken from Edgar Allan Poe’s 1842 short story Masque of Red Death. Just like Prospero’s Masqued Ball in Poe’s story, our final exhibition in the convent will feature seven rooms in seven colors, each room filled with artworks which respond to the seven colors of the tale, but in our version, to symbolize the promise of the rainbow, we will have an eighth room, which will be yellow, and red will run through the hallway. Additionally, through our expert hanging and curation system, in each room all the works will be connected to one another.
So, while the party will be about the end, and artist party-goers are encouraged to wear the color of their room, and yes, colorful masks will be provided- the exhibition can look forward to an exciting new place as we stay connected and do more together..."
