About Ateliers Hugo

 • Goldsmiths since 1933

Atelier Hugo has been casting artists’ creations using ancient techniques for nearly 70 years, 

creates extraordinary pieces of wearable sculptures, jewelry.

The Hugo family worked with Picasso and now collaborates with contemporary artists.

After World War II, Nicolas’ grandfather 

François Hugo was making pieces for the now legendary Elsa Schiaparelli and Coco Chanel. 

A meeting with Douglas Cooper marked the beginning of the series of silver 

dishes and gold ‘Bijoux d’Artistes’ by Picasso. 

From 1975, his son Pierre Hugo extended the ‘Bijoux d’Artistes’ to César, Arman, Corneille or Ugo Rondinone until the most recent collaboration with Josh Sperling on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the family workshop in 2020.
